Again I did not say "All things tie into databases" I simply said I tie most things back into databases because thats how my mind works. I sold a company which wrote sharepoint plugins ... there were no database functions needed there, rath

I am not entirely sure this is true. As a young serial entrepreneur with one 7 figure exit I can tell you that most people I meet have no idea who I am or what the company I sold even did. So while an exit does probably help I don't think "

I hope WePay jumps in and takes up the donations ... freedom of speech is important. Even if you do not agree with what WikiLeaks is doing they should have the right to operate and receive donations

great story. I have found the same to be true all too often, never giving up says a lot for those who make it. I will never forget after dropping out of college to chase my dreams how mad my parents were at me. When I met my first investor

well after reading this post its no shock that you have been on the site over 230 days and your karma is 10. Honestly, I know what you are getting at but I think what you miss is that some of the greatest minds in tech made the most impact

I am not talking about hiring people who have no grasp of a concept. I am saying that not unlike many other fields programming has a good bit to do with what you believe you are capable of. If someone has 5 years experience at Microsoft but

I guess I will probably be one of the "weird" ones here. I have never actually applied for any job and began programming very simple video games for myself as a kid (about 12) instead of using flash cards etc because I thought it helped me
