For $299 I can get a PS3 with Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime with 250GB of space. Or for $299 I can get an XBOX with lots of apps, Netflix, Hulu, and 250GB of space. Or for $99 dollars I can get an Apple TV with Netflix and iTunes rentals.

The title of this post is time dependent. Can a mod swap it out with the page title? Edit: THANKS SECRET MODS. The original title was "Google I/O 2012 Keynote begins in 10 minutes".

yes, Mainsoft Grasshopper. But given that the CLR is superset of JVM features, you can't easily convert .NET MSIL to Javabyte code (a few research projects tried but it's not pratical). Grasshopper did it at a language level and wrote a C#

I don't know how I feel about interface defaults. Why is that more important than say declared properties or unsigned types?

That has nothing to do with why the iphone is so fast. Civilian transmission rates on L1 are 10x slower than the military L2 frequency. It takes a full 6 seconds to get a single frame downloaded and that is also hoping your almanac is up to

nope. it's time that is the factor for triangulation. you always take the first time you received from the one source and you can discard certainly something way out side of what you expect. It's how you defeat the concreate canyon effect i

yep. the reason why your iPhone is fast has to do more with AGPS and that it can use wifi access points as references points as well.

There is cryptographic hash so that you can't send false data, but replaying the existing data but time delayed is still possible. The timing is how the triangulation fix is done. More sources of data, the harder it is to spoof. If you only

Tracking is different than just getting your own location. GPS receivers only receive data. You still need a radio or recording device to track (realtime or deferred) where you are or have been.

The more sophisticated jammers don't cause "noise", but rather they record and replay the pseudorandom generated digits they receive from the various frequencies and time drift them. It's hard to triangulate much of anything then and it cou

It may be difficult from a platform for them to tell where the outage is exactly. Also I don't think they should tell everyone heroku is hosting it so I don't think that is a good solution.

Sooo.... if comcast prioritizes Xfinity traffic at a DOCSIS level and not an IP level, it's not violating net neutrality?

It's not so much an issue of picking up Perian in that the new Quicktime 10 API doesn't work anything like the old Quicktime API. Perian just made open source codecs work with Quicktime's API. Quicktime X however demands much more that make

Github wasn't directly what made git big. Linus using git for the linux kernel, the bitkeeper drama, and doing talks about why git is better and everything is broken made git popular. Github has done a lot to push it, but even without githu

As a library library writer, if you are going to include dependencies, you have to rename pretty much everything. Objective-C is dynamic and the last implementation wins if they are named the same so it's possible for third party libs to su

This article is incorrect. Apple doesn't bar loading webpages with anything other their own webkit. What they bar is interpreting code that isn't included with the app except inside the include webkit with the system. This is how opera mobi
