The law could be renamed to "Use VPN Act", this is the actual consequence..

But at least they attempt to give us something else.. I wish posts like that were the only form of ads legally allowed.

Addiction? I keep hearing "get the most of AI or become irrelevant", so I guess this should be tackled too.

I did not ask them to write those books, and I wouldn't buy those.

Who got robbed? Just because I'd pay for AI it doesn't mean I'd buy these books.

But what I was talking about was kernel virtualization where the guest OS performs at native speed and without any hacks.

They did with "VmLauncherApp" and I was able to run Fedora, however GPU acceleration didn't work. Now, of course they removed the app :) But there's a "linux terminal" app which at least in theory should allow

Ah, so the "Linux Terminal" app is not yet ready for any announcements. This app with 3D acceleration enabling running graphical linux systems is what I'm waiting for, but it looks like we'll wait another year..

Welcome to Poland, where you can't transfer more than ~$13K daily without using mobile auth (bank app). Currently only the PKO bank implements this (and I hope this backfires on them), but I'd not be surprised if others follow.

I'd want a separate, secure smartphone only for auth/banking... but Google makes this impossible by preinstalling their unremovable spyware. And if you dare to remove it, then poof - your device is no longer considered secure. Goo

I'm tired of this crap where companies constantly restrict my freedom in the name of security.. the same thing happened to Chromium, where Google decided that MV2 was "insecure" so with MV3 we alsi lost the webRequestBlocking

Which devices are you talking about? Do they have cameras, modems, NFC? And you're not talking about running these systems on top of android, right?

Google should not be allowed to own Android, it gives them too much control.

AI will make it worse - it will replace "easier" jobs, harder jobs will remain, but the bar will be raised and so many people will not be able to have an "office" job.

Thankfully repetitive language is less of a problem now that we have AI. The current syntax is just "add error handling to this function" :)

You mean you could disable web results? Good, the question is for how long before MS decides that nobody actually wants to do that. On Linux, we don't have this dependency.

If I want to search the internet, I launch the browser via a keystroke. I do have a better search bar, that is the one that does NOT search the internet and I like it a lot :)

As a linux user, this is fun to watch.. isn't it ridiculous that they enable basic features only because they're forced to do so by the law, and of course only for the regions where this law applies? I couldn't imagine being

This would certainly require something beyond just software, like AI-powered humanoid robots, and I don't even know what's the current progress on that.. are we closer to that on the software or the hardware side?
