I couldn't agree any more. I definitely wasn't a stereotypical "sells lemonade door-to-door" entrepreneur in school, or in college. Sounds cliche, but I just didn't care about money. I was more interested in hacking and creating, starting f

Not to self-promote, since I pretty much abandoned that site more than a year ago, but back in a day I wrote an article on this topic that was somewhat popular, and I think will be useful to a lot of HN'ers. http://www.alexanderkharlamov.c

I'm going to go ahead and recommend "4 Hour work week" by Tim Ferris, BUT - you have to take that book with a big grain of salt. Some of the stuff he's talking about is fluff, and he's gotten some fair criticism over it - but he has some in

Contract/consultant for now. Eventually, I want to to introduce some products, but at first, financial independence from Big Co. was my #1 goal.

Well, the consulting business is full time already. I'm planning to grow it, and eventually introduce some products, as well.

Hear hear! After a few months of working 15-16 hours a day total, I'm going to force myself to work 10 hours a day max, and focus on having a life in the other time :)

Thanks for the feedback on the site design, everyone! It's far from finished, that was another reason I didn't want to link to it, but I should have been more clear about that :) With all the actual project work I've been doing, the site b

I was in a same boat as you are, and I think it comes down to being whether you feel grateful to this country or not. In my experience, living in former Soviet Union was hell. It was, still is, and always will be a shithole, with about 95%
