Some Gruber's articles feature a lot of insight, and are highly enjoyable. And some of his articles may be easily dismissed as blatant fanboyism. Unfortunately, this is an example one of the latter and not the former. I stopped reading afte

I scrolled all the way to the bottom of the comments, getting more and more depressed thinking as I'm the only old codger who remembers this meme. I am happy to find out I'm not the only one!

Couldn't disagree more. They are so far above Maxim, FHM, Men's Fitness and other trashy magazines that it's not even funny. A lot of times their writing is absolutely spectacular. In particular, works by Tom Junod, A.J. Jacobs, David Grang

The article missed a pretty significant counterpoint, which I'm surprised wasn't mentioned here so far: Viaweb. As Yahoo Stores, it went to become a de-facto leader in online stores, which it's still is to this day.

I was one of his early readers, and used to love his stuff on productivity and personal development. I even tolerated his articles about astral world, lightworkers, law of attraction, etc. But when he posted a glowing "review" of a scam lik

You should put SPOILER somewhere in the beginning of your comment, because it does contain them, on some of the best parts of the game too

I'm not sure they'll lose every developer to Linux. App Store will provide incredible exposure for their apps, which just may make it worth it for them.

I'm in the same boat - this has finally convinced me to give it a serious try. I've been using Google mostly in "private" mode in Chrome/FF for a while now, but that's not a real solution.

There's another option, without having to learn how to program. Be good and make money at what you do so you can afford to pay good programmers what their time is worth, so they can make your idea happen without too much hassle. (Disclaimer

You are misinformed. > Most companies post job listings on their own websites. Yes, but this doesn't mean they publish ALL their job listings on their website. This is simply how the industry works.. ask any recruiter.
