I'm sorry, but are they calling MS innovative for reinventing the peripheral? Only this time for tablets!

Regardless of whether it'll disappear from the Play store quickly or not this is kinda cool. Hopefully it means there'll be a FOSS implementation of this at some point and we can get other Linuxy stuff talking to iDevices. (If the

Never underestimate the power of the opposition to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. We could be having Labor leadership scuffles for the next three years.

Well, there's always reversed(str) for Python (I realise this returns a reversed object and not a string object, which is something I dislike immensely). I've always looked at [::-1] as being a bit of a hack, even though we use it

The worst part is I think most of the privacy destroying tech stuff makes for some fascinating problems (as the comments around speculation on the NSA tapping fibre a while back demonstrated). People just can't help looking at problems

I was doing some work for a friend of mine late last year and he was still running his DOS-based accounting software from 1987 I think. I can't remember the name of it though. He wouldn't abandon it, so now that he has a new compu

So essentially like VIP membership of any dating site out there. Or advertising in general. On the other hand, if we implemented this across the board, we could do away with these cumbersome comment voting systems!

In Australia at least the cost of preparing your tax return is tax deductible. For that matter the cost of visiting your accountant in order to do your taxes is tax deductible.

Thanks for that, I didn't know about Alt-Up (and had always been annoyed at the removing of the parent directory button in Win7). F2 is one I'll have to remember too. Context menus and click-pause-clicks are annoying.

I see what you mean about the 1 finger 2 keys bit, but I find I tend to either be moving up and down lines or left and right in a line. With HJKL I'm then using two separate fingers for navigation horizontally and vertically. If I used

I really wish X11 wasn't a factor for OSX anymore. I keep running into software I'd like to run but their "OSX" version requires you to fire up X first. From a speed and a visuals perspective it's pretty terrible.

I suspect that no answer will make you happy here, since a social network "getting it right" is where all the people are. You can't be getting it right if a significant number of people aren't there, and you can't be a competitor unless you
