Bangle.js 2 sounds like a good option. The hackability is second to none. https://banglejs.com/

The problem is that many people has less money to go around due to cost of goods and interest rates rising, so it's harder than ever to take advantage of lower stock market prices.

Non-starter for me if it's not possible to self host. Self hosting is not only knowing that my data is private, but also that once the company behind the product dies out, my data won't disappear forever.

It will be at least full repo download access, because how else would Coolify download the repository?

There are a bunch of ways to deploy via GitHub, I would check out this action, it's the easiest and most straightforward. There should be no need to adapt it based on different frameworks: https://github.com/marketplace

It's funny how people are different, after using CapRover for years I tried Coolify but it felt like so much functionality was missing that I would not use it over CapRover in its current state. All the things you mentioned (GitHub web

Yup. There's also no Bluetooth audio stack right now, so even if you could put your music on it you wouldn't be able to connect your headphones. :-(

Bangle.js 2 does have a GPS but is a no-go for music listening because it only has an 8MB flash memory. The ecosystem is also much much much less polished than an Android watch. However Bangle is very hackable and easy to write apps for, yo

You could also place the database outside the web root. As far as I know WordPress already supports putting `wp-config.php` one directory up from the main installation.

I don't think this is a correct take, because most plugins that interact with the database already use the abstraction functions, eg get/set_option(), WP_Query, get_post_meta() and so on. These would all work out of the box. The o

You are right! I wasn't debating the ethics but the mistaken notion that ads on a website could only give "pennies" of revenue. (aka Cost per impression)

What's to say the ad blockers aren't visually hiding upsells though? This might actually cost them a lot of money. There are plenty of visual hiding rules in the most used blocklists.

The poster said it's an extra 0.4 cents/kWh, not 0.4 USD/kWh. Our contract in Sweden is NordPool market price + 0,006 USD/kWh. Typical electricity prices in Sweden is anything from 0,001 USD/kWh to 0.5 USD/kWh,

It won't, the whole point is to take less space. If you archived an app, you can't expect it to be able to be unarchived when you're offline. I fail to see much of a use case for it anyway since most apps require connectivity
