True, but that means we will have to stick to Java even though we are Lisp, Python, Erlang guys here. That also means that we will have to muck around with JavaEE crap even though we can build the same thing much faster using something else

I agree with you completely. Unfortunately we are in a country where getting such kind of people is next to impossible. Engineers here are bred to work for services companies.

Thanks for the tip. I will look into the various agile methodologies. Yeah, we use Git, Basecamp etc. but I was looking for some practical tips about managing devs. I know they don't want to be managed as such, thus the question.

In that case, one should have a separate feed for items tagged 'clojure'. That's the way almost all planets work. Keyword based filtering is not fool proof.
