Harry Lime: Don't be so gloomy. After all it's not that awful. Like the fella says, in Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and th

Actually this article inspired me to look for some of the old packages on ebay, which actually are a little pricey. Electronic Arts in their early years really inspired a vision of computers taking creative endeavors to a whole new level. E

Interesting project. I tried to boot my old A500 a couple of weeks ago, but the add-on hard drive, not surprisingly given its age, had some problems reading the disk. For me the joy of reliving the heyday of the Amiga is lined to the aesthe

This can be a double-edged sword. Cambodia to most of the world is the amalgamation of the Killing Fields and Angkor Wat. Unfortunately the Cambodians don't make any money directly off of Ankor Wat, but the tourism and interest it brin

This why some people are so optimistic about Uber, seeing a future where there would be instant aws style provisioning of transportation, you could see car ownership going the way of physical server ownership, in that case. Taking it one st

I think the reason is they have a bunch of ephemeral hosts which they don't want to put in a central web interface or collect statistics on. They are only interested in getting some insight as to what went wrong with this host so they

Indeed. I bought the i3 nuc to run my home lab and have been very happy. I really want something with more cores/memory which won't break the bank. I keep hoping for another nuc in that space, but it looks like I will have to star

I don't know the as much as things like cards and other collectibles are worth, sometimes the high end ones are hard to get anywhere near the "full" value for. I tried to get rid of my copy of X-men #94 a while back and there

I see it as Red Hat's attempt to mitigate the long life cycles of its releases. Balancing the stability of a consistent OS without have to deal with an out of date (prehistoric) tool set.
