To me it seems that all social media platforms converge to some user hostile version of Reddit. You can argue that it got worse over time too, but it still is the platform that gives me most control over what I like to see. The other model

If (and that's a big if) Putin "finishes off" Ukraine, do you really think it's just back to normal for Europe/Russia relations?

There could be good reasons to switch from Thinkpad to Framework, but I think this 'issue' isn't one. It's a setting that can easily be turned off in the BIOS UI. One could argue that this shouldn't be the default (

Your comment could have been mine. Many years ago, I found GObject interesting, but was afraid using it would lead to friction when used outside GNOME's ecosystem.

I'm not sure this is a convincing example of policy that results in a net negative? It seems to be a positive for truck drivers from other parts of Europe. Maybe for most EU citizens too if it leads to lower transport prices?

Interesting observation! I think it's the same with music. I love all kinds of music, from the very weird/experimental to big budget larger than life sounding mainstream productions. Being also a bedroom music producer with limite

To me, the parent poster didn't imply that golang's naming is better, they just wondered why there's a lack of naming conventions regarding threading in general.

Fair enough, maybe it was just buggy behavior that made this process confusing to me, as I agree that something like this could in theory provide a smooth experience.

I agree that the whole identity verification stuff is confusing in element. I think it would be less so if they just generate and present the backup security key at account creation, telling users to use this when they want to login on a di

A declarative programming language should indeed allow you to think mostly about the result you want and not much about the how, but I'd say GP's comment is more about the design phase. The actual implementation could still be hig
