I have been using IPv6 for years on my mobile plan, so anecdata supports your hypothesis. But it's not only corporate. IPv6 only lit up at home (Verizon Fios) for me maybe 1 month ago. There are also likely very few people with RA enab

If it's the one built into your language stdlib, then you almost certainly are. Crypto libraries that are not constant time tend to not pass audits.

Settings has the UX polish of my high-school VB6+Access project. And you can't uninstall their garbage, either. Siri, Facetime, Messages, Maps, Photo Booth, Music, Podcasts, TV, News, Stocks, and a whole bunch of other junk. This is a

They should adopt Latte as an official/built-in project and present the user with presets on their first login IMO. But going with the Windows look by default is a good idea because, in terms of pure market share, that's what user

Lattedock is the best dock for any desktop environment I've used (including Windows/StarDock, MacOS/built-in, and Gnome/Dash-to-Dock). Install Latte, run Latte, and finally delete the bottom panel. It takes less than a m

Crypto has become a gacha game. So many currencies that you lose contact with how much money you put in in the first place.

To be clear, I agree that LaMDA is not sentient. Machine learning is not intelligent. > It doesn't do anything because it's literally "turned off" when not prompted or given any inputs. I wondered the same thing. It

I'm not so sure you should. Apple told all of us the Webkit restrictions are for our protection. How are they going to protect us from Mozilla's evil plans now? I really hope that their lawyers "vigorously" come to all o

This works so long as your build isn't compute intensive. From my experience, you need real ARM (or cross compile) for stuff like C++.

When I first joined my current employer late November/early December (employee 1 with an M1), we could not source Intel directly from Apple. The only option was to purchase a refurbished device. If you aren't ready to switch to AR

Azure has ARM in preview, and AWS has had it for ages. You should be able to create multi-arch builds in CI. For actually creating multi-arch, I recommend you stay as far away as possible from Docker and use Podman and Buildah. The latter u

Our contract is up for renewal in a few days, so we'd likely struggle to pull off self-hosted in that time. Self-hosting has been the watercooler talk, but we're currently migrating away from Circle CI (to GitHub <facepalm>)

Amazon and Azure have much larger multi-tenant concerns and are able to pull of an SLA.

I'm pushing for Gitlab (who have an SLA built into their similarly priced offering), but obviously the stakeholders need to decide how we eat this risk.
