Except for some obscure edge case, it wouldn't really be a great idea to run them on a JS vm... FORTRAN code still in use is computation-heavy stuff for use cases where speed makes a big difference, the performance hit of a VM wouldn&#

The problem is that people interested in manipulating the election could come to your place and offer you money in exchange for your vote. That's a damn good reason for using polling booths in public places.

On the hand hand, Trump supporters are claiming that Soros is -- more or less legally -- financing left wing organisations and influencing the political debate in many countries. You know what? Both of them are right, and actually this is n

Some say that the free market is an advantage to everyone. Other say that that in the end it's always a zero sum game, as you do. However, in the latter case, given that participation to the EU is on a voluntary basis, more and more co

Maybe you misread my comment. Weaker Europe does not mean collapse of EU and collapse of Eurozone.

Italy contributes more money to Europe's balance than it gets back. So a weaker, smaller Europe would mean that more money remains in Italy. Also weaker EU does not mean collapse of EU, so tourism would be the same, as would be trade.

Very debated issue, but many think that the Souther countries (Italy, Spain, Greece, Portugal) may have a lot of benefits from a weakened Europe.

The gender is strongly correlated to the biological sex. The biological sex is, in turn, strongly correlated to physical strength, aggressivity and other traits. I enjoyed the technical description, but the results didn't exactly shock

I don't know about Turkish, but German is not phonetically spelled. Of course it is better than the mess English is, but there are still many exceptions, silent letters, dypthongs, etc. For an almost phonetic language try Italian, for

Stupid question: how does it work when the majority of traffic is through SSL, making a request to an ad and a request to actual content indistinguishable? I don't think all websites serve ads from a different host. Do they?

I can accept that in an infographic meant for a wide audience very strong correlation may imply causation. The aim of the infographic is, indeed, praiseworthy. However the missing y axis for the second factor really upsets me! What's t
