For me, the combat was confusing, but the inventory system (which considers both weight and bulk) was much better than in most other games (even today), which use fixed number of slots with perhaps stacking of same items. That us horrendous

While 'recursion with caching' is an easy way how to start explaining 'dynamic programming', there is a slight difference - recursion works top-down, while dynamic programming algorithms generally works bottom-up.

Well, being polite and professional where one is sad or angry is still emotional labor (but it is probably a reasonable expectation from employees, as 'dealing with sad/angry co-workers' is also emotional labor).

Size of byte is implementation-defined, not unspecified. Why is that a problem for writing robust code? It is okay to assume implementation-defined behavior as long as you are targeting a subset of systems where these assumptions hold, and

I would disagree. First, system that forwards traffic behind its own IP address is called proxy if it works on application level, and NAT if it works on IP level. So we have socks proxy, but home router with NAT. Second, VPN is just a fancy

There is no reason to assume that say C compiler generates the same machine code for the same source code. AFAIK, a C compiler that chooses randomly between multiple C-semantically equivalent sequences of instructions is a valid C compiler.

Why you switched from grams to cans when compared to Dr Pepper? A can of Dr Pepper is 350 ml, so about 350 g. Therefore: 100 g of Dr. Pepper has 11g of sugar

There is still out-of-network healthcare (i.e. specific services or entire healthcare providers not covered by single payer) in many countries with universal healthcare. But it is usually clear which is which.

The cost is here due to AML regulation. If government wants to outsource its duties (crime intercepting) to banks, then perhaps it should be government to pay for it (in the similar manner it pays telecoms for wiretapping).
