Oracle forms vs modern web development is a little Off topic but I’ll bite. Could gmail have been built in Oracle forms, how about slack? How about Asana? How about an LMS such as blackboard, moodle, or D2L? Can you name any popular mains

Perhaps I am missing something here, but aren’t we are talking about the ability for a file browser to read a little bit of meta data out of a file? I don’t understand why reading the metadata of a file (even of an executable file) should n

Great question. My perception is that ‘guys’ is generally still perceived as gender neutral by people (except for those into feminist blogs), but sometimes I wonder. It would be good to have a proper answer to this question. How do we get

This will give developers leverage to ask for time to optimise, upgrade, and improve things they are not normally allowed to work on, as it will raise the discussion to the level of managers and the general public. However, do you think mor

Interesting to see the downvote. I guess there are some avid Anki users here. Leech management is ok, but I think active positive reinforcement is also necessary. Remind the user of how much they know as well.

The NY Times comes across as snobby for trying to suggest which art should or should not be popular. Who are critics to decide what music (i.e. Kayne’s latest) or cinema we should want to watch.

The heading/title should say: “We reimplemented reddit, but took out the feature of reddit that made reddit a success” PS: the OP’s site is now super NSFW. I assume someone is tying to prove a point :)

Im not sure I follow. Are you saying you don't understand why people who stare at letters on a screen all day every day for a living might have an interest in the fonts used on said screen?

What would break if at this point Safri and Chrome decided to go back to a basic user agent string and abandon all of the silliness? Do any important sites do sniffing in any important way? (I know I sniff for iPhone but that’s about it)

Considering that Dropbox appears to be a CIA tool to enable snooping on people’s computers masquerading as a file sharing service, I would be surprised if there is anyway to completely safely remove it at all.
