Seconded. Very easy to read! I’m also impressed by the speed of the site. Well done! One thing book stores have is gifts for people. “Someone who wants a book about dream interpretation may enjoy a rare minerals Rubin’s cube” may be a good

Yeah I came here to say the same thing. I’m 6’8” and if I were within the suggested range, I would be 227 pounds. I’ve been that weight and when I look at pictures of myself at that weight, I always think I look dangerously thin. BMI is a f

Agreed. Why on earth would investors agree to not getting their money back? Did they get anything? It doesn’t sound like it. What are we missing here?

My wife wrote a paper about this phenomenon. This happens in specific policy contexts as well as generally. In political science, the phenomenon is called the “devil shift”, coined by Sabatier. Similarly, there is also the “angel shift”: yo

Anecdotally, this happened in Denver when marijuana was legalized. Since the pot shops couldn’t store money with banks, many bought homes with cash. This led to a huge increase in cash buyers and a major spike in prices.

This sounds like a terrible experience for the recruiter. I suggest re-examining the response you had based on understandings of gender issues in tech.

This reminds me of old Popular Science magazines promising a future of unrealized technology. I do not think this is the future. But it’s something I’d like to see in a sci-fi movie.

I find it frustrating that the subheading says “less expensive.” No, it’s FREE. Absolutely free. Donations optional. To me, it sounded like the editor of the piece didn’t want it to sound promotional, which made it less true.

We have used Mailgun to power our SaaS emails for years with great deliverability and without paying a cent. It makes sense for them to charge for their service. It was too good to last forever!

I had no idea Rod Stewart covered the Tom Waits song "Downtown Train". I do not thank this article for informing me of this fact. It is a horrible cover. The world needs more Tom Waits and less Rod Stewart.

This title is clickbaity. The article asks whether replacing meetings with async digital messaging was an improvement. [edit:] I suggest modifying the headline. Perhaps to something like: “Was Email an Improvement Over In-Person Meetings?”

Enlightened arrogance is one thing. Being aware of—and addressing—bias in articles is another. “They” doesn’t cost anyone anything. It’s not a new word. It’s gender-neutral. It’s an easy win, and a change worth making.
