I used devstral today with cline and open hands. Worked great in both. About 1 minute initial prompt processing time on an m4 max Using LM studio because the ollama api breaks if you set the context to 128k.

I thought this was another vercel shill, and cheating up the hackernews ranks LOL But I tried it today and it’s pretty nice. A few bugs with user creation and custom fields with the beta oauth2 plugin. But overall very solid abstraction tha

It seems right now the rules are more clear about if you mention or link out, it’s ok. So that’s why. We should geofence it to US yeah. We are thinking of sending a push notification with a discount to pay on web and cancel

Crazy. I thought hackernews didn’t care because this happened yesterday and I never saw anything! We’re updating our app in a couple days this will save a LOT of money. We will kick users out to web and pass a JWT in the url with a short li

Completely agree. Surprised it has to many upvotes when it ends with a “fix” telling you to make useStates that rely on localstorage when you’re doing SSR

I guess what makes this different than EG4’s all in one inverter plus a 5kwh server rack battery, is the integration of software and hardware. I think you have a great shot at being successful. Because the cheaper options, software isn’t gr

The reliability is very very bad. It was really insane that 2 times in the past few months the main dashboard was down as I’m demoing something. Not to mention the deploy outages and almost daily some random thing was unavailable or delayed

Vanguard target retirement 2060 for 401k / IRA, and 2040 for my brokerage. I try to keep it simple. Each time I leave a job I roll into Vanguard so I'm not paying more fees each year for no reason. If you don't want 10% bonds

If you just rolled your money into vanguard directly, you would avoid the .25% annual fee which is a lot of money compounded over time

I have many edge nodes with data being synced to them internally with liteFS. This is free Edit: maybe you are right actually. I have to check on this closer. App is just about to launch so I hadn’t paid so much attention

Technically you are right. However my app is using litefs. In theory you could set this up on your own servers. Which is part of the reason I was so interested in it. However with fly it’s just one command to add a new region and my data is

Pretty funny that I built an app in Brazil and then this happens right before it goes live. It would be nice to have stable pricing and not have a fear of different features costing more out of the blue. Other than this, fly has been a grea

I “use the platform” so clicking a new tab shows the browser loading state. If you’re on a slow network, that’s the way I go about it.

I think this skips one mega benefit for apps. I’ve been using liteFS in production for a couple months. Your web app is able to resolve db queries instantly. You don’t need loading states if you’re using complex charts and other frontend JS

you're running your app using the node runtime still. Half the reason I want to use bun is to not use node for the runtime so that it's faster and the docker image is also smaller.

The problem is, if you have ESM and then a tool in your repo like jest, requires commonjs. Now you have to compile stuff. In my case I’ve had apps use certain ts config options, and then another library has a start script which is incompati
