Love that people think you go through rigorous checks to get one of these. I was able to get one for my personal domain just by saying “oh yeah that’s owned by this company too”. A simple Whois lookup would have shown otherwise. These CA’s

I’m working on a full pbx server in nodejs that will be scalable out of the box. Extendable. And with awesome docs! We started just one week ago on the sip sever side of things. https://github.com/encryption/sip

How about: When is iPhone X support coming? It's not that hard to update.... I've done it myself.

Thanks for all the tips! Yes I have been reading through the SIP RFC’s haha. Making this for the company I work at so I have a small amount of phones. I may publish a list of the ones the library will support. But I figure, if it gets big e

Every suggestion will be Asterisk / FreeSwitch (have fun learning how to configure it all and good luck coming back to it in a year) or a hosted solution, this is what I want to solve :) I will admit I am new to this field but that is

Funny seeing this on HN the day I start building a PBX system that supports SIP and WebRTC in node. There's really nothing open source out there, that isn't 10 years old and horrible. Hopefully I can knock down some marketshare th

Just feels like you're halfway following good JS practices. Ex: using Vue is great, but still rendering templates the "old way" instead of server rendering correctly for the whole app and having components remount. Totally ge

This is not the same as what gitlab is doing. React had attributes in order to remount correctly on the client side after a server render, this was removed. Using the latest react versions have nothing on the dom that isn't specificall

HTML is for displaying information, not being littered with things js needs to query for and access. That's the whole point of using something like vue? Put a function on the vue component that will make a request, keep all the data st

Why is GitLab putting data into their html? "You can pass your endpoints in through the data attributes." Why store endpoints and other js related data on a DOM element. This sounds like a left over paradigm they kept from their j

The config is pretty straight forward once you understand how it all works. The docs have example configs for anything you need. Specify an entry point, add some loaders, and maybe a plugin or two, what are you stuck on?

I've been using the same JS framework for 3+ years. I don't agree with all of these complaints on JS churn being too much. Web components aren't the answer either.
