An elite few wealthy politicians decided how millions of people's money would act in the global economy. They made a bad call, obviously. But Soros and company weren't forced to "go for the jugular." They could have eff

If the person is actively pushing the wall over, knowing full well that the wall is structurally unsound, and that there are innocent people behind the wall...yeah, I'd blame the pusher.

Most (or at least some) of the politicians likely acted in good faith, believing they were doing the best for their country. Soros knew he would leave the people devastated but didn't care.

I think the just behavior would have been to explain to the government what was going to happen, and then to leverage the fund's wealth and financial influence to help solve the greater problem. I know, businesses exist to make money.

The main problem with that is you will have a lot if nefarious groups abusing the situation. Desperate people will sign away their rights without understanding their risks. And even though they may already be dying, they can always suffer m

I don't understand the ISP's point of view on this issue. Please correct me if I'm wrong. But it seems that ISPs are saying "Hey, we offer this great service. But bandwidth hungry applications like Netflix are just using

Virus therapy has been on the table for a long time in the cancer fight. Because we can manipulate a virus and have it deliver highly targeted attacks, the idea of destroying cancers while ignoring healthy cells is sort if the holy grail of

It's valid morally. However, science runs on grant money and grant money will usually only be given to projects that show a proper scientific method. It would be nice if there were some sort of open market, where terminally ill patient

It sounds like you took awful courses. The majority of my professors were extremely engaging and very rarely acted like they had all of the answers or knew everything. In several cases we were actually encouraged to find fault with their wo

My wife, a university professor, was hired only after three extensive teaching demonstrations. I think some universities and departments focus in research while others focus on academics.

I actually downloaded GB4iOS from emu4ios.net a few weeks back and have been playing Sapphire. It's a lot of fun when I want to take a short break from work. So here's a cool question/poll: What Gameboy hardware did you own?

I wonder if this will have an effect on web design? Less JS, fewer images, no web fonts. I can see a website going back to plain text. I realize that even plain text can be throttled to the point of uselessness, but would it help at all?
