Expressivity and naturalness are still not good enough. It's getting there, but today you'd never have a voice conversation with an AI and come away thinking "boy, what an engaging, charismatic personality that AI had!"

Hard for me to imagine that this could be solved in text space. I think the prediction task needs to be done on the audio.

You are right, but using the 409a pricing would not really be honest either. (In the sense that the 409a is basically "as low as we could reasonably value this stock" in order to keep the strike prices low.)

I didn't know that. Maybe it's not good enough so they figured they had to train on customer data to ship something high quality, hence this change.

If it's attached to a Sentry error, there's clearly some issue which produces the exception.

Today the largest context window for GPT-4 is 128k tokens. That's around 300 pages of English text. It's a lot of code! It is certainly not enough for every case, but it is enough (and the models are smart enough) to be useful.

If I were running product at Sentry I'd be working on an agent that opened pull requests to fix your Sentry errors. This would work today with GPT-4 on a nontrivial number of errors/codebases.

There's a good contingent of YC folks in Capitol Hill. I'm very interested in improving the Seattle startup scene and would love to grab a coffee or chat. Contact info in bio.

I'm curious to know more about your experience with ImageBind, and what applications for multimodal embeddings are most exciting to you.

While I agree with the general sentiment, poverty and inequality are wildly different problems (e.g. modern capitalism tends to increase inequality but also decrease poverty).

Have you tried perplexity.ai? It has become my go-to for LLM + browsing. It is really fast and does a pretty good job with retrieval and summarization.

Burn is how much you lose, not how much you spend. If you have >1,000s of employees you presumably also have $100s of millions in revenue.

I understand and share your fear. In a sense, I think we already live in this world: there are many people who are already slaves to YouTube, TikTok, strategically timed push notifications, etc. We live in a world where digital tech is fant

In some sense I agree with you, and it would all be much simpler if the laws could be changed. But I think this is pretty unlikely at least in the next 30 years or so. But sufficiently cheap/fast technology is very difficult to block.
