After digging into it I came with this, which seems worth a submission on its own: https://brandonwamboldt.ca/how-linux-pipes-work-under-the-ho... Basically, the shell is using the pipe system call under the hood.

It is a system call and not a shell directive: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anonymous_pipe#Unix Also, man pipe.

At first I thought nice to know, but that won't help most people. Then I went to check it out and found that I don't remember opening it since it's pretty much useless. It does show how much memory each consume and the _curre

The issue is more with extensions that don't hang but slows you down throughout your usage. Especially if there are couple of those you feel that the browser is sluggish but don't associate it to the extensions.

Sure, our institutions can and should be improved. And I believe that by and large, we are moving forward. But it is not the case that we are currently doing it wrong and we can do it somehow right. We can only aim to do it better. The stat

I'm pretty sure there is no tattoo that will be perceived as beautiful by mom. Some people only see the deformation of the skin under it. Some of them can even be found right here in the comments.

On Linux you can either set it in gnome or, if you are using a wm, just run setxkmbap -option caps:escape.

Yes, technically it's possible, but it is too complex and too permanent to run on every machine and server I log into. Perhaps I should set those registry keys on my own Windows VM though. Thanks for the reference.

I despise and hate with passion the Capslock key. On linux I always run setxkbmpap -option caps:escape. I wish the same could be done on Windows. I got used to it so much that I find myself from time to time writing catpital letters when I&

Oh, sorry, that was tongue in the cheek. They are cloud providers, and as such they provide costumers with separate cluster. The aks-engine repo let you peep to what goes behind the scenes, but this is not the kind of beast you will grow at

Each vm belongs to a single cluster. The best way to maximimize resource utilization is to size the vms according to the tenant load, generally you want to minimize the number of vms, as each of them add some overhead, but you don'

Nothing to worry about, I just didn't feel there is much to lift off the story beyond its literary value. It is a bunch of small stories about ordinary folks told from the point of view of a foreigner.

Again, 10000 - 13000 years ago is much closer to us than the Neanderthals are to the ancient Aboriginal Australians or the ancient Hebrewes. And this stories, if they indeed are 13,000 years old, are by far the oldest example we have.
