You can read up about Islamic and pre-Islamic Arabia from authentic (Muslim) sources regarding the Hijab and Niqab. No one is moral panicking.

There are women on board with this as well, it's not just men. That narrative doesn't work.

I'm not defending their actions, but they're exploiting the underlying broken and usurious financial system that is using fiat money that can be printed at will. The system is working as designed.

golang's approach is anemic, so it's not an either/or situation. Take a look at Java's approach (Loom + Futures + Structured Concurrency). It allows you to be succinct yet avoid the explicit async/await approach.

Yes that's one possibility. Furthermore, there are ways to make money that are not usurious.

Any usurious transaction is predatory by definition. Of course people don't want to talk about it. Someone submitted the wikipedia article about usury to HN about 12 hours ago but it got flagged apparently.

Maybe they should change their business model then if they need predatory loans to survive.

Arguably the only purpose of a bank is that you have access to your money at any time you wish, if they can't honor that, they're not doing a good job to say the least.

Absolutely gut wrenching. This is child abuse plain and simple. These people are confusing their children and raking in the $$$ and making themselves feel good for virtue signalling. What's society heading for? Wake up.

Maybe running an economy on interest bearing loans was not a good idea after all, who would have known? We've had checks notes only a few thousand years to know that.

Call it what it is, it's not "aggressive activism", it's vandalism and property destruction, and potentially cost lives if the car owner needs to go to the hospital or has another emergency. Let's not water things d

Not just property. Imagine the car owner has an emergency and needs to go or transport his family to the hospital. They will have blood on their hands.

Don't forget pattern matching in Java is more fully fledged compared to Kotlin. Java is also getting string templates, and project Loom (virtual threads) make the entire suspend/await approach unnecessary.

How is that a problem with DI, instead of a problem with the engineering team not enforcing coding guidelines and libraries?

I disagree that they make code harder to read. It's the opposite in fact in my experience, especially with the prevalence of mature IDEs that allow you to navigate the graph and injection points. It's quite a nice experience.
