This is typical for analytical databases, e.g., ClickHouse (which I'm the author of) uses immutable data parts, allowing table cloning: https://clickhouse.com/docs/sql-reference/statements/create/...

Interesting how it compares with the ClickHouse implementation, which uses a lookup table: https://github.com/ClickHouse/ClickHouse/blob/master/src/Com... So that a day number can be directly mapped

This reminds me of an old bug in simdjson - any usage of it breaks std::unordered_map in unrelated parts of the code due to an unintentional modification of FPU flags: https://github.com/simdjson/simdjson/issues&#x

I think it should be not only in GROUP BY, but in every context, e.g., inside expressions in SELECT, WHERE, etc.

I often use a different approach - assume by default that external contributors are smarter than our employees. This is needed to prevent arrogance and entitlement during code reviews. A reasonable pull request from an external contributor

H3 was integrated into ClickHouse in 2019, and since then, I have heard many interesting stories. There are unusual ones, e.g., when it is used not to map data on Earth, but for astronomy (stars, galaxies).

I was using it just half a year ago, after either reading MDN or reading what AI suggested. Which means, this API is not obscure and not forgotten. Using `rows` and `cells` is very convenient for keyboard navigation across table cells. htt

The statement is untrue. For example, ClickHouse is in C++, and it has thousands of contributors with hundreds of external contributors every month.

Thanks for posting! I've recently added more datasets, "Places", "Birds", "Photos", and "You". Also, a hint - the rectangular selection tool lets you generate custom reports for a location.
