You wouldn't be flying this over bodies of water which could have rogue waves. Those are generally open sea scenarios, and this is really only practical for hops between relatively close bodies of land, over water. There are a lot of

I find this much more practical and likely to result in something benefiting the population compared to the repeated efforts at making flying cars.

The article's "good" (HTML) example above this statement is bone stock HTML. The only self-description given is that there are 4 anchors and 3 divs in that response. Any other description would have to be assumed based on t

Author says that the json is not self-describing, but the html example is... That's true if "self describing" means "describes html structure". Perhaps modern use of the term REST is officially incorrect, but I thin

I do like science fiction, particularly of the Star Trek style. I'm less into the Aliens (action/horror) stuff and more into fantasy/exploration stuff. Adventure in general is nice. Conflict is expected (as that's par

I still find youtube invaluable for tech related demos and tutorials. In fact, I've probably learned more in the last 5 years from youtube than any other source, books included. There's little better than watching someone walk yo

After 12 years of mostly standing for work (software development), the part of this article I sadly can agree with is the wrist/carpal tunnel issue. I'm probably on the extreme end of "standers", as I routinely stand for

Not lately. The quality of content has gone so far down that I would need such a tool for Disney or even Prime. We have entered the period of series-hell, where content has been algorithmically reduced to the minimum which will make someon

Well this is a deeply unsettling line of thought. Fortunately we seem capable of narrowing our memory to "where we are now", so I have little doubt that infinite beings can keep ourselves entertained. Even so, it would be nice to

Or we just hate the other employees who have 1-2 layers of mental structures to build to do their jobs, while ours are 3-5 and require more focus. Almost everyone I have worked with in my long career has had some very redeeming qualities.

There may be other things about Ruby that I disagree with, but this is probably my primary disagreement. It does make code more difficult to understand for exactly the reason you mentioned, and furthermore it can sometimes be disallowed bas

I stand corrected on the mylist.sort() vs sorted(mylist). But really, such a mistake is more likely with two very different ways of doing the same kind of operation. In ruby you would just mylist.sort() for a new sorted list (although pare

Here's a rough list of benefits of Ruby compared to Python. It's not well organized and the examples are difficult to show in a comment box, but I have pages of notes of why Python is frankly a horrible language compared to Ruby.

It is wise to look at all waste which each region has and seek ways to use it better. In the case of the Netherlands, I'm not sure how much of those opportunities there are beyond manure (which could perhaps be very big).

I don't know much about this topic, but I have read that the RAM in M1/M2 machines is part of the Mx chip itself. Unless I misunderstand, I don't believe it's any kind of separate component - stick or otherwise.

I would imagine so, and I would think that out of 100% of their chips, they would have more which passed the lower RAM standards than the higher ones. So the higher RAM chips (which passed) would be more rare, so to speak.
