That's a good change from "social first" from a few years back. Google was never a social company to start with. Remember Orkut? AI is google's leverage. It should explore on that path.

Price control kills the market. As happened in Venezuela. Not draught or low oil price. But the article hasn't covered this point enough. At high inflation rate and frozen price of commodities and food, traders are forced to sell bello

We can't say if Rust is a suitable replacement unless a a team tries to write a kernel in Rust, and then comes up with a comparative result. Right now C is only the tried and true solution. The rest are possibilities only.

I ran my non-authoritative DNS server [bind] on a droplet for about a year. But the server crashed every few months. Why? Never figured out. A restart always fixed it. Later shifted to DO's DNS servers. Now that that one is down too, j

CO2 buildup will kill him far before all the O2 has been used up. Even supplying fresh O2 into the room from a cylinder won't save him, unless someone finds a way to remove CO2 from the room.

This is the first time I have heard "RAII requires exception". But then reading the comments section, I get that the author completely missed the point. The claimers, whoever they are, aren't claiming RAII needs exception for

Would like to add that these type of things happen in legal taxi services too. One can't prevent it. Therefore the question is: How easy is it to track the offender, in both the services?

The lookup thing only happens during compilation to byte code or intermediate code, I believe. Once in VM, there are no variable names. Only addresses.

The time investment is one time. Hosting cost is recurring. I might be able to invest two months in a developing a project. But if it's not making any profit, I might still be hosting it for 5 to 10 years. Then it's a difference o

Dimensions in Physics are like indirections in C. One extra level of indirection fixes most problems in C. Same for Physics. The challenge is in explaining with less dimensions.
