A little off-topic: Is there a way to stream ORG mode text directly from emacs to emacs, eliminating the browser part? Edit: Another way of saying this is blogging and blog-consumption directly on Emacs. I think it could be possible.

Similarly, I would whole heartedly recommend the Common Lisp macro system (having myself discovering how to use it a few days back). The power it gives to the programmer is unmatched by any other system I have ever used (except maybe forth)

Quantum computers are fine. What we also need to focus on are different kinds/models of computing on a traditional computer. The industry is very very young and there are so many untested, postponed or unfinished ideas that were left i

There was also Inferno[1] and Limbo[2] from bell labs touted as the future, some very good ideas.. [1] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inferno_(operating_system) [2] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Limb

I installed pharo to see what this smalltalk was all about. At first, I was confused with what I saw. I was expecting to set up a compiler build pipeline and an emacs mode, but it booted into some kind of operating system graphical shell. I

Going on another vertical, this reminds me how useful early usenet was. Reddit is too general and way less nerdy and mainstream to be a worthy usenet replacement. Wishlist: a usenet killer

The process of Booth Capturing happened during the ballot, not the counting. It was actually a very serious problem of rigging which vanished after the introduction of EVMs Before the introduction of EVMs, there was a massive problem of &qu

In India, its actually very hard and time consuming to accurately count around a billion paper votes. Paper votes kind of do not scale. Also India used to face a lot of incidences of booth capturing[1] which came to a stop after EVMs. [1] h

The majority of flora we see now also evolved very late. The dinosaurs probably saw and fed on Conifers, Cycadophytes and Ferns. Grass and Modern leafed flora evolved much later.

Implementing an emulator is similar to writing an interpreter and imo more rewarding in certain cases. Start with CHIP-8, it's the gateway drug to others.

We have been warring before the dawn of civilization. I think it used to play a role in territorial resource usage/rights, evolutionary selection, population control and asserting your own set of morals. I wish we all get over war, but
