Nothing stops you from doing OOP with state that is immutable once initialized though. Likewise, nothing stops language designers for enforcing that in their OOP languages. You are arguing against a strawman.

Yes. If nothing else, the calculation of that immutable data may be costly enough to motivate not calculating it multiple times. Hence you want to treat it as state. But that doesn't mean you want to expose it to the user of the class

If you are in EU you should know enough to know that it is not a homogeneous place. Where are you located? Also, what do you have experience of? Different work places may have different sources of people to employ.

For me I get roughly the same download speed as the normal measurements (875Mbps), but upload is more than halved (423Mbps) compared to what other tests report (tests that I have more faith in, like bredbandskollen.se which is reputed to be

I'm not certain I buy that argument. Yes, the actual code of each test would be slower than usual, but the things around it, test harness, factories etc should get plenty of execution. And at least in our not so very good test code bas

Last time I tried to run Truffle on the company test suite it spent an hour processing 1/8th of the suite. Then it was killed by the OOM killer. On a 32 GB machine. To be fair there was only one or two errors during that, so compatibil

Regarding the last point, I wonder if that will be necessary after the changes in the OP. Example 2 might cover this.

It is documented in the liburing man pages. Furthermore, recent variants of io_uring have a probe-function that allows checking for capabilities. Generally speaking though, you will need more recent kernels than 4.x

Odds are that is coupled to either CPU architecture or mobo standard, and they didnt touch either. You should go AMD if you want PCIe4 currently. Which is a bit funny as Intel sells certain peripherals that supports it.

Yes, that is the nature of turbo. If the CPUs could sustain operating at those speeds, it would be the base speed, not the turbo. Turbo is for really short burst. After that the system ends up being restrained by the available cooling and w

I like that behaviour. Normally you don't get to pay the overhead of having to spell it out but it is a nice tool to have, being able to gradually add type information to fence in errors.
