It's nice that they actually went through the effort to show that it works well on GNU/Windows!

I'm not the most familiar with either, but one of the simplest differences is that org-mode allows you to have entries longer than single lines and have it formatted. This is immensely more helpful when implementing GTD IMO. Org-mode c

While this is a decent tool, it doesn't come close to the power of org-mode in terms of implementing task management systems such as GTD. Still, if you're not an Emacs user and want a FOSS task management system this is the way to

Ok, so is there anything NOT being open sourced? Is everything needed to actually be able to use it productively open source now? Is Xamarin Studio open source?

This is something I'd at least expect from Tesla, the company who open sourced all of their patents.

Wouldn't adding a "Funny" button next to the upvote button fix this? Steam has done so in their review sections.

The solution is to view will power as a muscle and treat it as such: Use minor interventions regularly and strengthen it. Saying just buckle up to a procrastinator is like telling a very weak guy to just squat 150 KG.

Alright, so say they use Spacemacs (Which really should be the Emacs default). Now how would they justify their choice?

For you Atom users: Why have you chosen Atom over, say, Emacs?

Adding to this: Replace the down vote icon completely with the flagging icon, as the down vote icon probably encourages aggravated people to use it in the wrong way.

What you said is of course correct, but what I'm saying is that while the concept of a down vote button is useful, people end up using it in the fashion I described because of its convenience. Maybe merging them isn't the best ide

My theory is that it's because it's to convenient. A solution could be to move it to next to the flag button, maybe? And also making it a bit more difficult to do, like requiring the user to input a reason.

I couldn't agree more. I'm not sure how to solve the problem though, other than trying to teach people to treat the down vote button more respectfully. IMO there shouldn't be a down vote button at all, and to be honest I can&
