It is interesting to note that the listed libraries are not written in Python (Cython at best). The moment what you want to do with your data is not covered by the library, you either hack it or you're screwed.

Communication is a key bottleneck. Modern supercomputers budget roughly half to interconnect. Nvidia invested heavily in developing NVLINK to be able to make GPUs communicate at the bandwidth necessary to make multi-GPU boxes more practica

There are moisture regulating sheets on the market that allow vapor to pass in summer. It is many times more expensive than a simple plastic foil, but still a drop in the construction budget bucket.

There seems to be some attraction to CL for QC researchers. I also used CL for my PhD's QC compiler and VM. Although my low-lv QVM was written in C, it takes s-expr input. I'm a bit sad it wasn't cited by the Quil guys :p ht

To generalize, learning C is easy, but doing anything with it is not. To be clear, this is not meant as a critique on C, on the contrary. Put simply, it is just that making computers do stuff is hard. This is especially true if you want it

When such statements in the style of "you don't have to learn a new language" is uttered, it is usually completely ignoring the fact that solving the problem at hand is many times harder than learning some new syntax. Learni

Essentially, it is the algorithm by which the C++ compiler selects what template specialization to use at your 'call' site. Function templates can be overloaded and essentially create an entire family of specializations. As a C++

Thank you for keeping a unified dispatch/selection algorithm in D! I feel that in language design, simplifying/streamlining the programmer's mental model is often undervalued compared to "but you would expect X to happe

You avoid GC in D in the same way you avoid GC in C++. If you are using D to do rapid prototyping or scripting, at least you have a GC that allows you not to think about it. If you are on a project where performance is a feature, you alread

THey didn't write a new compiler. They did have some work to make their codebase work on LDC, the LLVM-backend implementation of D. Rewriting the standard library for performance is not unique to D. Game developers famously avoid stl&#

D feels much more like a 'sane' C successor, dropped from a parallel dimension where C++ could evolve without caring much about breaking its legacy code running the world. It has a few warts, some D v1 leftovers, but overall feels

It is ad-hoc in C++, templates weren't designed for general compile time meta-programming. It took several recent changes to the standard to make it a little more palatable with static expressions and general template improvements.
