The "Send $35 to Apogee Software Productions" bought back fond memories of playing these 'demos' as a kid and wishing I were in the US so I could actually buy these things.

Wouldn't that be countered with several more billions from basically everyone else opposing it (wouldn't be just tech firms)?

Ah, yes - I see where you're coming from. Some day I hope to finish my blog, written in C :D Good luck for your haskell blog :)

With Mozilla explicitly announcing they won't support it (and we all know how Microsoft will react) - I hope NaCl goes on to die a silent death. Except perhaps in chromebooks. I could see how they'd be useful there.

Indeed - having different compiled versions of your code go over the wire to the client simply because they're on a different architecture seems so... backward.

Let's hope this doesn't devolve into something similar to the madness that was ActiveX.

Even more intriguing. What exactly were you writing in Haskell that needed a super-paranoid html sanitizer? Yet another web server/blog/cms? Or something way more cooler?

Do your due diligence. Don't add anyone you don't know. Or, if they 'seem' interesting, banish them to a dark circle that you visit perhaps once in a few weeks.

Some part of me wants to believe that it is a weed out on the other side - 'if you value your time so low as to fill out these forms, we know we can pay you jackshit and get away with it'.

After the initial exodus from Digg to Reddit, I suppose there hasn't been much influx that way. Also, interesting to note that 'top keyword' for reddit is '4chan'.

<leader>b is a good replacement for both :ls and :b if you're using Command-T (like grandparent is). I was surprised when I discovered that feature, since it isn't quite as advertised/popular as the file opening capabilities of Comm

> I write PHP code very sporadically Explains it. PHP is fine if you jump in, write a few lines, and then don't ever have to maintain it yourself. Woe to the guy who does have to maintain it.

Problem with OSM is that it's nowhere near as complete as Google Maps, and I don't see it growing the way Wikipedia did (contributing to Wikipedia is much easier than contributing to OSM)
