It is likely this is a heuristic; Apple would lose out disallowing major companies, so rules are sometimes shifted, if not explicitly for all. Snapchat being pulled would cause a minor exodus, I imagine, especially if it was heavily leaned

Unlikely. I can’t think of any immediate reasons that federal courts would consider anything different to the states, where something so heinous as rape of a child is concerned.

Interesting idea of selling the language. Paying people to learn a language in their own time might be a brilliant initiative – it would generate a lot of intrigue, for one, and it may well be useful as an aid for those who are poor.

I tested this out of curiosity, and all iPhones I could find in my household rendered correctly in UTF-8 with only 12 octets [0]. This is replicated on iPhone 7, SE and XR, all running 13.5.1. So it may well be the issue was fixed in 6s or

The issue was highlighted from open-source code from a company who proactively works to reduce privacy. It seems rather reasonable to assume that in the goal of maximising privacy in search engines, it would be wise to add user-friendly and

The direct proximity on a Qwerty and the non-obviousness of the pun makes it a rather odd name of choice. Something more directly different like the “Inbag” (because a “bag” is less personal and office-like than a “box”, I guess) would have

The DOM draft [1] seems to include it. Legacy content is better slow than unusable, however, so it’s better off being discouraged – by linters, dev docs and a warning in the console. FWIW, this is currently linted in TSlint but not JSlint.

Clarity is only useful when the variable scope is complicated, which it isn’t here. The problem COULD be that the ultra-short variable names make an unclear external API… but given the function is internal, the context of its use would make

This is a brilliant concept of a tool. I’ve never worked with monorepos before, but something like this with rw capacity would be an absolutely amazing pipeline, if every developer in the office and beyond are full nodes in the system.

I saw a great point mentioned elsewhere on Twitter that an even better methodology is to use "prod" and "dev", as it makes the intent that little bit clearer.

That’s true, but well-named semantic classes aid with other accessibility purposes. Making elements easy to target means screen scrapers and user themes can be maximally effective in targeting the right elements. Some user themes are for vi

Is the charge here really proportional to the crime? As frustrating as it might be to MySpace, it's fairly benign, and it highlighted a vulnerability that could have been far, far worse. Surely those three years without Internet would

An important thing about numbers in general is that whenever somebody says “complex/negative numbers don’t actually exist”, they are somewhat right, in a sense. What exists is magnitude and phase Does that mean we should abandon them?

Do businesses really need cookies? Surely logging page visits is enough for most purposes; it can be corroborated with sign-ins if you have already agreed to sign up. Anything else is usually for tracking, usually the intrusive thought. Bus

I think this is a feature more than a bug. For the most part, sorting by priority then severity seems like the best way to approach things, unless something is extremely obviously a quick fix. That said, the P-spectrum may have some crossov

That’s quite clever, actually. This way you could chain a complex string together with parentheses without needing a lot of pluses. Not the most useful of features, but it does explain why * is the concat operator.

You’re not wrong, but you have a bit of a dismal look at it. Sports, like other forms of entertainment, are a sign of culture, and culture is the touchstone of a good workforce. Just like it’s important to take short breaks in the office, e

It’s a bit of flair that can be handwaved away. Unlike back-end systems, where due to the non-visibility, flair isn’t exactly seen, the best way of being tongue-in-cheek is a dud API or a comment highlighting some strange behaviour. But fro

The main issue with changing energy source is a change in engine. Biodiesel requires little change, so it should be an excellent stop-gap as the industry hopefully hammers down on efficient, ethical and environmental energy storage. That co

I personally feel that use of exceptions kinda depends on how compiled the language is. With strongly-typed, compile-checked code, it’s only really bare assertions for a test suite to build. Meanwhile in weakly-typed languages without means

Sync conflicts are never fun, but from personal experience programs that attempt to auto-resolve them aren’t exactly letting the user in on what’s going on. The best way to make that work in that case would be to explicitly inform the user

Indeed. There’s somewhat of a selection bias here, too. The older the song, the longer we’ve had to filter it out from other songs. Meanwhile, the blurriness of “modern” in “modern music” means that any comparison will be naturally biased.

There is! The API is nowhere near complete, but Noether[0] can handle the following well: >>> display(lightsecond) >>> v = c / 3 >>> h / electron.mass / v (3.019×10⁻²⁰ ± 2.277×10⁻²
