"I think it's readily known that Microsoft has numerous zero-days (discovered or not) in their software." This is true for every single piece of software ever written. Msft is no different in this regard.

For a similar tool written in javascript, check out json ( https://github.com/trentm/json ). I use both.

This is great. I was hoping the data charges would be cheaper. The T-mobile $30 prepaid plan gives you unlimited data with the first 5 gigs at LTE speeds. You also get 100 minutes. This works incredibly well for me as I mostly use my phone

I can definitely tell the difference. A friend of mine has the AXE-FX. We tried testing its Mesa Boogie model against my actual Mesa Boogie amp -- and the difference was night and day. Like one of the comments from above, part of the magic

VLC is awesome, but it's sorely lacking one feature on OS X -- which is the ability to open multiple movies at once. I surely hope this is something they'll ad at some point!

This is one of the greatest attributes of open source; the ability to fork. Both io.js and Node.js can succeed independently of each other. The server side javascript community is as vibrant as ever -- with adoption ramping up exponentially

This is fantastic. I know we'll be using the closures feature ourselves to debug our production problems. This is what I love to see in robust software releases -- features that help engineers more easily debug problems. Kudos dap!

If that's the case, Millbrae is a great stop. It has good schools, a safe downtown with many local shops, and a library. These are all within walking distance of the BART station. As an added bonus the station is the only station that

I don't know apple, could you maybe stop spending all your time on the aesthetics of your OS and actually fix some real problems? How about the fact that SMB doesn't work [1], or that you've broken large parts of Dtrace? How

The site is a little thin on details and internals. I would be very interested to learn more about how they handle failovers whilst still guaranteeing "strong consistency".

I've been working on an automated failover framework based on Zookeeper and ZFS for some time now. Whilst we use it in production, it's been hampered by bugs we keep hitting in the PG replication layer. Coupled with the problem th

I remember listening to fountain of sighs on IT over and over again in my youth. Jeffrey and the people who wrote the music were truly ahead of their time. Here's a link to the song: http://youtu.be/XLMqBVhZRWo

It's very likely there will not be a jailbreak for 7.1 for a very long time. Apple will have patched the exploits used to jb the current version.

I've tried to give sublime a shot many times -- and I really would like to use it. It does have great plugins and features, however the deal breaker has always been that I needed to use the mouse at some point in my workflow. I have to

Do you have any benchmarks to support your claim? Statements such as "Btrfs ... might currently be a better alternative" without benchmarks are worthless. Anyway -- I'd be interested to see benchmarks of Btrfs on GNU/Linux vs ZFS on illumos
