It would be really ridiculous if they launch an SE model with AI, while everything except the iPhone 15 Pro/Max don't get AI.

Who forced him to do all this work, if neither DEFCON nor EE were employing/contracting him? Why was he even given access to this project then?

I don’t agree with this. You could literally redefine any unit (as we have done so multiple times in the past) and end up with zero coincidences. All measurement metrics are “fake” - nothing is truly universal, and can easily be correlated

I recently found this YouTube channel - https://youtube.com/@bryceangell , which showcases the exact demographic that would buy this sort of aircraft. Very interesting to learn about their use cases and POV.

> driving highway speed takes more gas Hmmm, in my experience, highway speeds are conducive to ICE efficiency and use less gas than city traffic stop and go results in. It also disperses pollution outside the areas people work/resid

I mean you say all this, and then in every iPad keynote Apple hypes the performance for power users, content creators, photographers and videographers, and even gaming! Case in point, the latest iPad Pro has an M4 chip which no other Apple

The whole world still relies on and builds petrol cars. EVs are still a small portion of the global market. I think it’s quite disingenuous to blame Germany’s slow moving industry sector on “worker’s control”.

The post seems to really be vague around the obvious and most likely majority defense use cases this would be deployed for. It instead tries to emphasize all the other potential uses and mentions defense only as the final one with a generic

I’ve seen that a lot of Siri features defer from Watch to the iPhone. Even things like changing the lights.

The unspoken point being made here is about corruption, not efficiency per se. I want all my tax money going towards the public good, not just fractions/percentages of it.

You just reinvented analytics cookies. You’d be surprised, but they don’t store PII either. It’s usually just a randomized session ID and timestamps, like you’re suggesting.

Using a library like Instructor adds a significant token overhead. While that overhead can be justified, if their use case performs fine without it, I don’t see any reason to add such a dependency.

Programming, especially imperative, is essentially boxes (statements, function calls) and lines (control flow). That’s why algorithms can be represented as flowcharts.

It’s not misleading? The article discusses the direct charges towards Mossack Fonseca, the literal mastermind of the tax evasion scheme. They are Panamian, so of course they would be tried in Panama and not elsewhere.
