I can't speak for the Parent commenter, but I get the feeling you are taking what he said a little too literally. Those were simply examples of what could be said during the process. Their reply was not intended to be an exhaustive lis

FAANG was never about impact on tech industry. Otherwise, MSFT would be part of FAANG. Instead, it's directly related to (1) stock price and (2) compensation.

I've used Alpine pretty heavily but did not run into any hassle aside from "oh yeah forgot to install this package". Could you go into more detail about the challenges one could encounter when using Alpine?

Anecdotal, but just make sure you don't lose weight TOO fast. This is one of the ways in which gallstones are formed.

From OP, "'No Trash Search' is very focused on STEM and not 'for daily use'". I would assume your 3 hole punch review search query falls outside of what this specializes in.

This could be outdated information that I have, but don't actuaries constantly need to study for their exams/certs? Does that fall outside of the 40 hour/week range, or is that done on work time?

This is a great site. It's pretty ML focused which lands a bit outside my interest range, does anyone know of a similar site that has papers from CS as a whole?

I am always amazed at how so many open source projects do not have screenshots or hide them behind several clicks. Maybe it's meant to act as a bit of a filter, but I'm a hugely visual person and I'd like to not have to watch

There's a bug when the target article is titled the same as the disambiguation page. Search for "Earthbound", and try clicking on the article for the video game. It'll bring you right back to the disambiguation page.

I'd like to be able to run reporting out of this so I can gather velocity metrics (for my boss) at the developer/project/milestone/arbitrary label level. It doesn't look like there are too options for this yet.

This is a great article because it outlines an alternative to using Redis for any given use cases. If we don't constantly re-evaluate our toolsets and their capabilities, it can lead to poor decision making. That being said, I've

I would contend that it really depends on what one would prioritize the most in that scenario. In my experience, Redis EXPIRE means it is not selectable. That is the primary requirement for a lot of development around EXPIRE/TTL. It is

I'm burnt out. I'd love to be fired and given a severance package so that I can take a breather for a month. I'm completely sick of non-tech enterprises - the politics, the apathy towards development, the offshoring, the craz

Thanks for the example, I'm aware of Notmuch but had no idea it relied on Xapian. However, back to my original point, there's simply not enough people or large projects/companies that rely on and use Xapian. I'm 99% posi
