I have been thinking about whether GitLab should opt for the M version Xeons when they finally get their servers so they can upgrade to 128GB TSV LR-DIMMs in the future.

The history of FullWrite is slightly wrong. Wikipedia has a better one: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FullWrite_Professional (1988 is also around the time of a famous DRAM shortage BTW)

Interestingly, the spec still says 128GB of RAM despite the fact that the price of 64GB LR-DIMMs are getting closer to the price of 32GB RDIMMs.

>Another common feature of ICOs: there's never any equity on the table. The founders are gonna cash in on the ICO and then later do an exit (sell the company, IPO, whatever). ICO "investors" are not gonna get much for thei

Open sourcing the entire macOS probably still would not be difficult. Doing the same with iOS would be much harder.

How many times with Google though? Of course, there are different kinds of data that may be sent too. Safe Browsing is very different from telemetry for example.

My favorite is the ad bubble of course. I have a Twitter thread discussing it with BrendanEich: https://twitter.com/BrendanEich/status/912750677331283968

I think the big problem is the ad bubble itself now. I have mentioned the ad bubble and Google on Twitter: https://twitter.com/BrendanEich/status/912750677331283968

I think the problem more importantly is the current tracking ad bubble. The design of the current debt based economy naturally leads to these kinds of bubbles.

This reminds me of how no one cared about 40-bit crypto in the 1990s because only the NSA can break it, to take one example. Even Snowden's NSA leaks are often relatively old. This is part of why I dislike the debt-based economy. The m

I am thinking about the current debt based economy which is based on growth and stock prices, and Google and the tracking ad bubble is a good example of the problems. Brendan Eich talked about it: https://twitter.com/Brendan
