I tried that, tensorflow is actually better for general purpose compute, jax a lot better. Pytorch seems to omit most of the non-ml basic building blocks, while tf kind of gives you most of the XLA api.

Nowadays I prefer starting with a microprofile subset consisting of jersey+jetty offering the standard JAX-RS APIs. Is really lightweight at only 6MiBs shaded and grows opportunistically into the microprofile stack of quarkus etc. - you can

Spark is nice, I switched to usinh jersey+jetty though, you get the mature API of jax-rs and everything in under 6MiB of dependencies. you can even use the jdk http server to be even smaller. I'm very happy with that setup.

You need a parser for validation, - preferably a fast, possibly even a streaming one.

Brotli was kind of forced on the web by google. zstd is ubiquitous now and for good reason. I played with both a bunch and really prefer zstd, it is versatile, fast and generic. Additionally, hardware accelerators such as intel's QAT s

Don't conflate a specific criticism with a general one. I don't necessarily hate frameworks, but I do dislike Spring. It's a heavyweight framework, an empty project spits out a 50MiB jar that takes like 5s to start, requiring

The title is misleading, people are on the street against the afd in general. They represent the global anti-democracy movement and got a number of votes in some regions that woke up people assuming that they aren't a real threat. The

I honestly feel cheated by intel with my 13th gen cpu. They took away avx512, even though the P cores are capable of it, but also did not ship AMX with it. I'm honestly more interested in Apple's AMX "co-processor", in m

Can't alternative clients like k9 implement OAuth on their own? I believe I set up Thunderbird on my desktop with OAuth and it works (With office365). Sadly the number of email clients I would trust is limited, many send off your crede

One is however solved more easily, replacing the battery for 80 bucks. The other necessitates a new device for 800 bucks. Apple benefits from hiding the cheaper fix in order to make $$$. The mechanism might be technically reasonable, but in

My LG G3 had a 538ppi IPS display and it is from 2014, 9 years ago. Now that I think about it, smartphones have stagnated a lot.

I'm not quite sure what you say is true. Apple Notebooks have 224-254ppi, the external displays 218ppi. The only higher ppi displays from Apple are on the iphone, and they are not special, most decent (android) phones from 5 years ago

Monterey still receives security updates. Even Big Sur does and it supports models from 2013 and up. While I agree that Apple artificially abandons older models to sell more, old devices are not trash yet .
