Good point, and I agree that the code in my example wasn't perfectly clear, though I think some formatting could help it go a long way. I don't think the prefix notation is much more readable than what I suggested, if it is more r

Nifty, but having "and", "or" and the rest before both of the arguments instead of in the middle is incredibly confusing to read. Very unintuitive. Why not restructure it to be chainable with something like: firstV

Well said, but I think you missed the point of the article. The article itself isn't even about programmers, really (even if the author didn't recognize it). It applies to all employees and founders of start ups, whether they are

I hope we can both agree that your language's garbage collection is ultimately less important than your toilet's garbage collection.

I usually have the opposite problem: I'll consider myself a friend of a person, but that person thinks I don't like them. A common side effect of being factual/honest, unfortunately.

A lot of people love TDD. A lot of those people also misunderstand why TDD is useful. TDD is useful towards an end, but it is not the the only means of achieving that end. Let me explain what I mean: As a personal rule, for every 1 minute

Re-read the manifesto. You'll notice that its theme is not about a person's natural abilities or smarts, but self awareness. The manifesto can basically be boiled down to "show humility in your own code". Always assume t

I think the author misses the point. Using a native-looking interface will only encourage users to stay on their iTems, and Google (not so) secretly wants to convert those users to their own native platforms+.

Did you know there are over 600 million Honda Civics over 5 years old still on the roads? Hah! Clearly, their owners should replace them with Porsche 911s instead.
