This is only within the context of the pod's network namespace.

There are two ways around this: Frist, you can run the container with --cap-add=net_bind_service which allows processes to bind to privileged ports: $ podman run --cap-add=net_bind_service --rm -it --user=1 localhost/socat bash

It's in universe, so I guess wait for the newer package to be pulled from Debian (unstable currently has 4.3.4)? Or maybe you can request it via the process outlined at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SyncRequestProcess ?

That's not needed/used since Podman 4, where the networking stack was rewritten; one of the features of the new "netavark" stack is that it has DNS resolution for containers within a network by default, no plugin needed.

I think the new network implementation in Podman 4 ("netavark") helps with that sort of thing. So the following works: [sam@isis ~]$ podman network create foo foo [sam@isis ~]$ podman run -d --name=host1 --network=f

How fast do they go where you are? In the UK there are various hire schemes trialling their use. Riders must have a driving license and they are limited to 15.5 mph (depending on area, in Oxford for instance they only go up to 12.4 mph). An

Ooh that's very interesting. I had to reverse engineering the firmware update process for my work laptop[0], I'm guessing the update process there doesn't use capsule updates though... [0] https://robots.org.uk

Good grief The ineptitude of firmware programmers continues to astound me. Asus should upload their firmware to the LVFS < https://fwupd.org/ > and make firmware updates as simple as 'fwupdmgr update'.

Homebrew should support the DO_NOT_TRACK environment variable. https://consoledonottrack.com/ It doesn't look likely though. I don't think it looks good that comments pointing out that Homebrew's existing beh

This is simple to resolve. If I buy a 16 GB flash drive with fewer than 16 billion bytes of usable capacity then I will demand a refund and return the device at the retailer's expense. I will also complain to trading standards.

Probably because asciidoc recommends asciidoc-dblatex (used for producing LaTeX via docbook). Try 'apt install asciidoc asciidoc-dblatex-' to install just asciidoc without pulling in the other package.
