Having spent 10 years there, I can say this is true. There’s not much innovation, just solid business execution and sales, sales, sales. The proliferation of ambitious former missionaries is a driving factor for this cultural element.

In my experience, there’s seldom such thing as a “super simple web site”. I always run into situations where some dynamic functionality is required and vanilla JavaScript gets messy very quickly. Svelte is so compact and easy that it is the

Homie is a VC backed startup replacing real estate agents in Utah and Arizona and they seem to be doing very well. Massive adoption over the last year. I feel pretty confident that agents will eventually be a thing of the past.

Slack, Spotify, VS Code, Insomnia and many other apps use it. They use excessive amounts of resources for what they are, but really any modern machine shouldn’t have a problem with it.
