People have been using something similar for more than a decade. I know of a guy using tools to generate seo content for his 2k+ websites since around 2010. His work just got a lot easier.

Car mileage criminals and official car dealers too. They hide behind gdpr to not reveal mileage, and accidents particularly on cars from germany.

This works wonders assuming all code moving forwards will only be written with tools it was trained against. I imagine it will have no clue how to get berate code for a fresh new framework.

Considering most of these ai tools are trained using our content, was wondering what happens if we start polluting, say github, with nonsense code. It would be hilarious to see junior level devs adopt inefficient or intentionally lame code.

You are not wrong tho, if looking at it from that angle. Lets just say we get the treatment without the benefits.

Thats what you get when you put inexperienced management in charge of software. All processes diverge from their initial intention. These types of managers are those who treat software engineers like construction workers - they measure perf

Blaming the victim? An odd thing to do. How often do developers raise the need for improvement, and technical debt removal? Particularly in Agile environments where there is never room for such "stories". Let alone poor management

Who knew that remote work benefits tech companies, as their own end users get to spend more on their own apps. Yet there are tech companies advocating against remote work.

TypeScript is great for inexperienced devs, so i dont see why they should use it for eslint. Is there any benefit in using a language that transpiles to a different language that then gets interpreted that you had in mind?

What about focusing on solving why parts of the EU have regressed to 3rd world economic status, capital cities that mostly look like ghettos, lack of energy supplies, and poor administration? The EU is gradually becoming a joke. Not that ge

> but this episode with the academic papers and the binary space partitioning is the justification I think of first. Subtly amusing considering carmack is not on favour of academia. But everything he uses is made possible by it.

Indeed, but culture is not the answer to the question asked. The person bringing it in is attempting to explain personality traits with race and culture. A dangerous approach, usually employed by inexperienced folks.

I did, because op is explaining personality traits by means of race. A narrow view of the world.

Please read the definition of the word race and try not to make everything about it. Try and work with more diverse people so you can observe there are strong similarities regardless of race, instead of shutting yourself in a small bubble t

Good point re visa. Thats why i refused transfer offers to the us and generally speaking stayed away from h1b. It’s basically a form of paid indentured servitude.

I imagine a lot of middle class people are benefiting from the … software engineer middle class cashflow. Your logic is a bit like wanting to make the middle class poorer because its driving prices up and the lower class cant afford things.

Easier to tame the workforce if kept under threat for longer time. Want to work from home? You may be chopped. Want better working conditions? You may be chopped. That complaint about your manager? You’re at it.
