I hate ads as much as anyone, but I find it hardly surprising that devs at companies playing cat and mouse with ad blockers read the ad blocker source code. Since when is this considered cheating?

I will continue to use em dashes as I always had, thank you very much. I couldn't care less if you mistake me for an LLM. That's your problem for being overconfident in your misplaced judgement.

I have not managed to stress test it yet, I believe that so far I saw it deliver ~100W max. I got it for 110€ in some Amazon bundle together with 3 usb cables. Which is about the price of the 140W Apple brick. (We don't get the powerb

The Anker Prime 160W power brick shows the maximum wattage of the cables you plug in. It is also surprisingly small.

Every page on this website ends with the How to make a herbarium pressing tutorial. I crave for some photos of the author's herbarium.

Sure, but the Dallas residents still don't have the autonomous on-demand bus while they could have had a normal bus decades ago. And I doubt that 4 or 12 is the ideal bus size in that place.

Perhaps bad design, but user-hostile is a bit of a stretch.

1. I promise you that a bus can get through winding narrow loops just fine. All medieval old towns are like that. 2. You either create loops or hubs where people transfer. The hub can be just a regular bus stop where lines meet. 3. Looking

Why is a bus not fit for endless culdesac suburbia where people are commuting between the suburbs instead of to the downtown? I really don't get it. Pretty much everywhere outside of US buses work no matter the city layout. Just add so

Of course not, but there is a strong default option effect. And more often then not an employee _has to_ take the exact amount of vacation that's mandated in their country.

All I wanted from this article was a table with the list of countries and the amounts of paid days off, but the chart labels only 16 countries. The referenced source includes an image with all of the values: https://www.moorepay.

It's no revolutionary idea, but the comments here are dishonest when they compare a 3-month leave to standard european vacation. I would say most middle class europeans take like 10-14 day long vacations. I sometimes travel for a month

There is a solution though. I don't like it, but we use MDM to disable iCloud file sync, scan network communication and such.
