I've posted this before; I hope it's fine if I repeat it: I really miss these building games that used an isometric grid. TTD, RC Tycoon, Zoo Tycoon, Sim City, … Yes, it's less realistic, but it is so pleasant to work with. E

They have already passed 100s of millions in sales. We can consider some of the earlier money inflows 'donations', but what's happening nowadays is de facto sales.

I expect they are also slightly worse thanks to the immediate acceleration. Even if 0-60 is similar to a particular ICE car, 0-5 or 0-10 is not. By the way, there are EV tyres - does anyone know why? Is it just marketing or do they have som

Seems like you just described mandatory vaccination. Which is indeed great in case of many vaccines.

So you are expected to see to your job duties while on vacation? What you describe sounds a bit like "if you manage to do your work faster, you can take the remaining time off", correct?

We have an actual unlimited unpaid time off policy. I have several colleagues who have taken 6+ months off (even repeatedly). Obviously I suspect that wouldn't be well-received within the "unlimited" paid leave at Netflix (

A bit offtopic, but I've been curious about this. Could you please describe how the unlimited vacation policy worked? How did people feel about it and whether they were anxious regarding using it (afraid that it will reflect on them ba

In this case it's the other way around. Pokemon Go is profitable and funds the rest of Niantic, this AI innitiative included (for now). (I'm not saying that they shouldn't use the game data for training.)

Why bother me with it at all? If tracking-to-the-level-requiring-special-consent is bad, then don't do it and don't ask me about it. A "simple 1-click opt out" on pretty much every website I visit is still a horrible use

Anchoring bias probably works with numbers outside of the realm of reality as well. But I doubt it's very useful in these cases (or even any stronger than asking for say 300B), otherwise everyone would always start a funding round by a
