Hm, usually when I really need a stamp I just print it at the post office as I never know beforehand how much will the thing cost. It does make letters a bit dull (though I only send those to corps so it's not like there is somebody th

It would be nice to give it a short lived cache. To avoid cloning a repo three times because I forgot something. Otherwise: good stuff, kudos!

Note though that the study does not use (or even mention) the oximeter. They use heart rate variability. Edit: They probably also used the older model as the study was submitted in November and the Apple Watch with oximeter came out in Sept

So young and already jaded. To me the problem with frontend, and why most people I know want to avoid it, is that compared to backend the specifications are never clear, change more often, require a lot more boilerplate and is in general mo

If you can do 10x the builds in a day, you can end up catching more issues before your users. Meanwhile the difference for them is in single digit percents. Interesting test to do next would be how performant are the compiled versions.

I definitely started to also run tests on minified code and found bugs in compilers that I had to work around.

I guess a reasonable requirement for a momifier would be that the test suite passes 100% of tests after minification.

Do people nowadays call others in the middle of the night? I know it will not work for everyone but I've setup alerts so almost nothing makes a sound on the phone, even with DnD off.

Where I studied (france) a 2000€/month would leave me with about 1400€ after discouting housing, 3 meals a day and tuition fees. It's a ginormous amount of money for a student. Dunno about MBA out of school salaries but in tech in

So far we have not been to find a way to automate this sort of triage unfortunately. Also, most developers I know are quite happy that there is someone between them and the customers.

Haven't played much factorio but I imagine that simulating the factory is more akin to a game of life, wireworld or a graph signal processing. I.e.: in one tick you process all inputs of each entity, and put them to outputs, maybe havi

Your own remark about tablets undermine your argument though. iPads and MS Surfaces have been arguably the best 'artist tablets' and they don't need to be hooked up to another computer.
