They did play conkers with cranes and caravans in Top Gear, so I feel that at least a large portion of non Brits will know the game from there.

Not really. Lightning was better than micro USB-B connector, which was Lightning’s contemporary.

Same in France. The initial ETA is always a lie. What’s even worse is the ETA they give you before booking the ride. Still better than taxi in general , but that’s a low bar.

So, do I need a massive dishwasher that can hold all the pans, and then another one as a spare?

Ai telling you to eat rocks might be funny. Ai telling you to mix bleach and vinegar is not. With reach any type of an authoritative answer will find enough people that take it at face value. Computer mistakes have been costly in the past (

I only used Android Studio when it was in beta so can't say much about that. But XCode is honestly quite good, not perfect by any means, but especially with Swift and SwiftUI it has some really good features (to wit: live previews). Pr

It looks like it prefers to eat cells in order but it can eat them out of order if going in order is impossible. I assume the timeline under the game is there to show how well it’s doing.

Well, back in the day firefox had a rss reader integrated and would detect feeds and put a nice rss icon in the location bar. That kind of addressed the first two points. As for discovery, I think much like Twitter and other social media, t

Afaik starship doesn't have and will not have an abort system. Lacking that, NASA will never put humans in it for takeoff from Earth.

It has its ups and downs. Yes bureaucracy can be annoying, but. Thing is, that with such a huge company the teams and cultures are so different that it doesn't really make sense to talk about Google culture as a whole.

I wouldn't be happy about it. But as others have mentioned this specific data is way less sensitive for me than my email, actual bank data, photos and much much more. The quality of life vs risk ratio is heavily skewed towards electron

In France (at least from observation, no data here) most people use cards, but there is a sizeable group that still uses cash. Large shops now have marked registers that explicitly accept cash, but most don't. There are still some rest

Admittedly the "usual waffle" is the actually interesting part of the video. For me the most interesting tidbit is using fans for generating ground force, like the micromouses do.

To me this seems to be the root of all problems with SPAs. They are mis-used for websites, and so a ton of technology has been built to make them work like those. Nobody cares about SEO in Figma, or your blog's web editor. We wanted to

Seems like most projects end up so bloated that you need 20 minutes to get back to understanding what you were working on. I tend to avoid "clever" code as much as I can, so it is quite obvious what stuff does. Can get right back

I think it's more about the prevalence of iPhones amongst young people. If most of your friends don't have iPhones, then it makes more sense to use a messaging system everybody can use. US has ~60% iOS market share, European count

Swift is a successful successor to Objective-C and their syntaxes and idioms are worlds apart. It’s about what class of problems you can solve in the language.

There are many things in play here. 1. Platforms only ever allow one version of an app to exist, and its requirements can only reasonably go up. (e.g.: want to use the new Swift feature? you need to target iOSN+1) 2. Most apps now have clou
