http://i49.tinypic.com/ws0boj.png I have midori identifying as safari - it works well enough for google to at least not give me crap for using something different, and I still see the "you need quicktime to view this" stuff.

for the record. 720p is 1280 x 720. As you said, the evo is 25 fps the iphone is at 30 fps, with the same resolution. This is being pedantic, and doesn't really help the argument that the iphone 4 is better, but, at least one of your points

I run midori [1] on a freebsd machine, it works somewhat well (audio problems) with html5 video on youtube. Quicktime is not a fallback, it's still the standard. edit: forgot the link [1] http://www.twotoasts.de/

The only reason they are ignorant to how much people hate AT&T is because AT&T has the iphone. The minute the iphone is available for tmobile, verizon, or sprint, AT&T will see how much people hate them.

Well, to some extent, the major doesn't matter so much as the degree. I mean, I wouldn't hire an english major to design a vehicle, but I might hire one to market the vehicle.

or, they could choose less expensive colleges. Like a state college. CSU Stanislaus is $5,000 / year or so last I checked (September 2009). $20,000 probably wouldn't have required a loan at all. Because she's paid at least $100,000 or so of

So, basically, these people decided "hey, college, dunno if it's right for me, probably isn't, at least now, since I have no clue what I want to do with my life. However, I shall totally spend as much as possible to get a degree." There are

On math? I gave up a few years ago, borrowed some math texts from the library and taught myself up through single variable calculus. I still take the math courses at my school because I need the credits to graduate.

I'm currently coming out of high school (11 days until graduation), and, I haven't learned much. 6 AP courses are offered at my school, none of them are pushed on you until after you sign up for the class and decide that wasn't a good idea.

I agree with Apple on this. If a license says that "You must do this, this, and that" in regards to something, and you can't do "this, this, and that" because it could kill your business model, then it makes perfect sense to preserve your b

Interesting. Doesn't work for me, because I tend to associate tab content with where the tab is relative to other tabs. For example, I don't normally have gmail open in a tab (I prefer to use mutt as my email client), so, to see "Gmail: Ema

While this could potentially lead to very bad things, it could just as likely lead to a betterment of humanity. I think that, in a few years or so, the kidney-growth pill McCoy gave to the old lady in The Voyage Home could be possible.

Most of the points covered here are things that every kid or parent should know. The two things I wouldn't expect a kid or parent to know is the "don't make yourself searchable", and the "don't overlook your privacy controls". The rest is i

The problem with sub HNs is for those of us who use feed readers to read HN and other news sites. I REALLY don't want to have to add ten extra feeds to my feed list, as the idea of sub-HNs implies. I, for one, am fond of the way this is cur
