This is the actual blog post title but it is clickbait. Also this is HN - people have heard of Nim. I don't want to have to click through to know what the language comparison is.

Anecdotally a doctor friend confirmed this same observation to me after doing a psychiatry rotation - they suggested that most people with depression were just sad but wanted a magic pill to cure the unpleasant emotion.

What? People go on camera to sit exams so they can be invigilated? That's so short sighted. Anyone who wanted to cheat could do anything to circumvent that - first comes to mind is plastering the wall with notes...

Sigh - the number of websites which were broken when browsing the internet from China because trackers from Facebook were not wrapped in exception handling and the endpoints were blocked. Literally couldn't give the companies business.

I worked in a wet lab and we were warned around the dangers of sensitization to bench-top solvents and reagents. This source might explain it (didn't really read it much) https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK23481

A shame. A pipe dream of mine has always been to build the greatest mech sim there could be. Maybe some mixture of peripherals, gesture tech and VR will have to be the way forward. But there really wouldn't be a replacement for getting

I agree - for many of people(including teens) circumventing restrictions is part of the thrill. That said I do think there has been an escalation of porn over the years. It's really apparent when you look at things from the 70s. Thoug
