Telemetry is spyware with a marketing facelift. But I agree with a previous poster. If you're OK with what Windows already then this barely registers. For all we know this one won't even reset the manual opt-out every 6months to a

Kind of what I suspected. That battle is already well lost for them so it doesn't really even have a privacy cost.

Some one suggested using the WEI API to block access to chrome. It wouldn't really work but it was amusing, until I realized the censorship potential of the whole thing on the world stage.

This is the problem though. SMS was pushed early on since it was great way to identify and track users in addition to being easy for most of them to use. It was never as good of a choice as TOTP, but it was easier to get users to use. But n

I use QEMU/KVM/Libvirt. Virtualbox had experimental passthrough support for awhile but I believe they removed it.

CoD (or some similar game, sorry I don't keep up) won't even let you register with a prepaid phone number so there must be more granularity than it seems.

I have a Windows VM on my main machine that I pass a GPU to for playing games. The idea was I'd just snapshot the disk so if windows hosed me I could roll back. In practice I just play games in linux through proton or native though. Th

Isn't the open driver AMD uses on linux a fairly different codebase than the windows one? I'd guess there is some kind of bug in the windows drivers.

I guess I'll just chime in with my experience: I chose nvidia when I made the switch to linux probably 8 years ago. At the time AMD had not yet started their open source driver efforts. I haven't had any major complaints besides u

I usually right click these and choose ublock origin's block element to make it go away. I actually don't know what that means as I never answered the question one way or the other.

Isn't this by policy design? Recycling is the only R that doesn't implicitly call for reduced consumption so it is the only one that is pushed. Reduce and reuse will curtail economy activity.
