Seems like you could just blast it out on one of the endless Microsoft telemetry or update channels that are chatting away all day and either intercept outside the network or with Microsoft's help. Only way to protect against that woul

They have changed the UI to make you think it is required. Start with old.reddit.com and click next with the field empty.

Are you saying that privacy.com also creates fake names and addresses for the purpose of charging? I always assumed it was just another number in your name. (never used this service, but it does seem useful)

That hasn't been my experience. Most services that demand a phone number lock you out if you don't cough one up, and reject VoIP and temporary service numbers. Some of them even reject prepaid numbers now. Microsoft recently extor

Reddit basically stole all of traditional forums' thunder and removed their weaknesses as the same time. Setting up, maintaining and moderating a forum takes time and money. It takes less of the former and maybe none of the later. And

Never leave money on the table! You can't even buy your way out of it like people suggest. The fact that you want to do that signals you have money and makes your data even more valuable. Even companies that do not do this currently, a

I thought debit cards weren't a lot better than bank transfers in this regard. Credit cards certainly are better though.

But I didn't buy the OS. It was force installed while I slept after I failed a dark pattern check due to fatigue.

Of course, the only way to get it seems to be to pirate it. Is there a recommended way to do this? My partner isn't ready to give up on Windows yet and I'm trying to find the least bad path.

I'd just disable the TPM in bios. Although I wouldn't put it past Microsoft to force install it on unsupported hardware.

The main problem with Windows' terrible settings is that they are constantly changing. So when you search for how to change something all the instructions are obsolete.

I'm old enough to remember when plastic bags were pushed as the environmentally superior option. Something about cutting down to many trees for bags.

Yeah, that is what happened to me as well. Now I have to buy the bags anyway. I do hunt out extremely cheap thin bags that probably use less plastic per bag than the grocery store ones as they don't need to be as durable for most of th

It was a F2P first person shooter that uses phone numbers for verification. CoD I believe, but it looks like blizzard does it as well for battle.net. I remember it because before that I assumed they had no way to determine how the phone num

The ones that get me are the recovery login emails for services I never used. Some of them might be shotgun phishing attempts but some look like they actually were allowed to sign up without ever verifying their email.
