What you're overlooking is that any large task can, and should, be broken down into smaller individual components that can be reasoned about and tested in isolation. This is literally the whole basis for how we do programming. You don&

It was more of a stylistic choice on my part. I could add more layers to flesh out background details. And it's Hong Kong actually. :)

I used my own photos for the input, I find images with the subject isolated to be more visually pleasing, hence most of my photos are in this style. But there wouldn't be any difference to the algorithm if the image was full of detail

You can already use genAI to do similar things. The whole point, however, was to see what I could do using traditional techniques. The other benefit is that it's something you can run locally without needing a lot of resources, and hav

I found the nice part of Pi was the plugin system and the ability to hook into any part of the agentic loop. But minimalism is a net negative in my experience. What you really want is a harness that meets the expectations of the model and s

That's the really crazy part to me as well. Like clearly you can do so much more on the software side, and the whole hyperscaler built out was driven purely by financial shell game decisions rather than technological necessity.

There's also the aspect of data sovereignty. I expect a lot of companies and countries will want to run models they can control locally without being reliant on a third party to operate them. And of course running models yourself means
