It would be interesting to see how this plays out but it is indeed disappointing for an alpha. Regardless of the platform apps need to work with data. Packaged apps do not have access to websql, and you are pretty much forced to use Indexed

You can already do that with Cordova. This is still too early. "Note also that IndexedDB is not supported prior to Android 4.4, since it is not supported on the old Android WebView." This makes this pretty useless (at this time),

They simply need to have WebSQL as part of the standard. For anything other than trivial apps IndexedDB is a step back. This is the work of the NoSQL movement, pure fuckery. And it's also a shame Google removed it from packaged apps.

I was happy with that. The first thing I did was try from a couple different proxies then try a different gmail account and I was in wtf mode. Google's status indicator was showing everything was fine. I then checked HN and it was at t

Yes, but EveryBlock was up to speed and pretty widely used (as far as I can tell) before it was shut down. Whether the people that were on there return remains to be seen.

That could be seen as premature optimization. If you don't know things like the average number of cards, or the average for the power users then you don't know if you will have that problem . That would be like saying they should

I think arch has it right with the rolling release approach containing binary packages that are built with a minimalist philosophy. Need to tweak a package to include something else or be built a different way? ABS is fantastic because you

I agree. You don't have to mention how hard it is, but through the exposure they will naturally realize that it isn't easy and will give rise to a sense of hard earned money .

I was speaking more to the 10/11 year old, but I don't think 6 is too young to get a little lemonade stand going. It reminds me of a kid (about 8 years old) that was selling lemonade on a really dead street shouting "get your

I think the first point is an issue common in print designers designing for the web. A real web designer designs knowing the limitations of the web, and with the understanding that text flows. Whenever a comp has regions with height constra

You're doing it the right way. The PSD is a blueprint for what the end result should look like. You implement it the best way possible for use in the browser (gradients, border-radius, etc.). For responsive, either the designer puts to

I think it's the job of the buyer (the gov in this case to find out what is reasonable). Companies, just like individuals, should be able to bid whatever they like. If you are looking to have software built and one person quotes $200&#

For GoDaddy this is new as far as I can tell. You now get an email with a verification link. That never happened in the past (at least not by default).

If you think like this, even a little, I think you can find a way to see everything in life as having a gate. Can't get on TV, radio, on some blog, etc. ... gatekeeper present. That's the wrong mindset to have IMO.
