The cool thing is, you get all the benefits of pipewire even if the audio comes in over pulse's API. All pulse audio applications magically got faster/lower latency/less buggy for me when I started using pipewire.

I learned about them after playing the game Firewatch on steam. I really really enjoyed that game.

I use slices all the time, but very rarely need to delete out of the middle of them. So it seems like a bit of an edge case to me.

The strategy that has made me most happy is to divide my work time almost in half. Half is regulated, doing tickets, choosing the high priority long term work, documenting, and moving milestones. The other half, I always work on the most re

My experience with pipewire is it works better than pulseaudio, is faster, has lower latency, and fewer bugs. And it gets better all the time!

Think of wireguard as the plumbing. There will be a plethora of things available on top of wireguard that will enable all sorts of easy authentication options. (For example, TailScale.)

I've used syncthing without problems for years, but then recently had an issue where it seemed to duplicate an entire folder of files and all their contents and whenever I would delete the duplicate it would bring it back. I was really

My favorite instance of this phenomenon is when I get a product with a label on it that says "This product contains chemicals known to the state of California to cause cancer."

I liked GOPATH at first, but the limitations of projects stepping on each other quickly made me sad about it. Now that go modules has removed the need for GOPATH, I'm very happy about it being obsolete. :)

Since GOOS and GOARCH are not going anywhere, I'm guessing they're just trying to unify a little more to one scheme.

I agree with the sentiment that I should go find them. But I also agree with the sentiment that if RHEL 8 is going to make it hard to install docker and promote podman instead as a drop-in replacement, it's a bit frustrating.

Reading through the comments though it looks like I should try making a BTRFS mount for the container storage and that might help the fuse-overlayfs problems though.
